Great Room

The immense Great Room is our living room which doubles as a communal space and breakfast room during the summer season. It’s a warm and inviting space with second-floor views of Paxson Mountain, inlaid woodwork ceilings, Asian lanterns, and suffused with natural light from the large windows.

In this beautiful room guests will find:

  • comfy couches and chairs grouped in different conversational areas
  • dining tables
  • painting easel
  • grand piano
  • learning table with animal artifacts, maps, Alaska books, and travel planning materials
  • book exchange and children’s library
  • microwave and small frig
  • foosball table
  • projector and screen available for group or business presentations
  • warmth of a wood stove
  • games and puzzles
